On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, there will be free presentations at the Warragul Exhibition Hall (15 Howitt St), where the Bible will be compared to the teaching of mainstream Christian Churches. You are invited to attend these important presentations.
Why should I attend?
The Bible is written by Almighty God (If you are not sure about that see our page on The Bible)
God tells us in the Bible that what we believe needs to be consistent with Bible teaching.
Gal 3:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
This verse (and many others) shows that it does matter what we believe. God will only accept those that believe the truth about his teachings.
2 Thess 2:12 That they all might be condemned who believe not the truth…
So we must seek out the truth of the Bible. We must hold fast to truth and reject beliefs that disagree with the Bible, no matter how difficult that is to do. Hence, whenever our beliefs differ from the teaching of the Bible, we need to be honest with ourselves and admit that we are wrong and that we need to change our beliefs.
There are many Christian Churches, and all have differing teachings. They can’t all be right (many must be wrong). How can we know who is teaching Bible Truth? We all need to use the Bible, to work out what is true and then we need to believe it and live by it – no matter what any Church may teach. (see this page for more detail)
What will be covered?
These presentations will focus on some very important parts of what the Bible teaches.
The focus will be on teachings about what happens after death.
- Do you have an immortal soul?
- Will you go to heaven when you die?
- Will you go to hell?
- What does the Bible teach is the hope we have for life after death?
- What about resurrection?
It may be surprising but what the Bible teaches on these subjects is very different to what almost all Churches teach.
Because these things are very important, indeed matters of life and death, you are encouraged to come to these presentations to hear what the Bible says. There will also be time after the presentations to have discussion on these important matters.
