Why we believe Jesus Christ will return

There is no doubt that Jesus Christ was a real person who lived from about 0AD to 33AD and then was crucified.  That is attested by historical evidence.  However its another thing entirely to believe that he will return.  That a person should return from heaven to earth it ouside of our experience.  Yet the teaching of the Bible is clear that Jesus Christ will return to the earth. Come and hear this lecture to consider the evidence.  One piece of evidence is that when the apostles watched him go to heaven, two angels told them “this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”  Acts of the Apostles 1:11.  But there is much more to hear on this subject.

So why should you care if he does return or he doesn’t return?  Because the return of Jesus Christ to the earth will affect you.  He is coming to judge the world.  He will reward his faithful followers with eternal life and will condemn those who are evil to eternal death.
