Why did Jesus Christ die and rise again?

The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to the message of the New Testament, which is termed the Gospel.   By faith in the Gospel, concerning the work of Jesus Christ we can have eternal life in God’s coming kingdom.  Yet sadly so many Churches do not present the true Bible teaching about what one has to believe to be saved.
