Bible Advice for Prayer and Meditation

Prayer is a wonderful thing, yet is often misunderstood.  Yes prayer is the means available to us to communicate with our Heavenly Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s a great privelege to be able to pray to the God of the Universe. But were you aware that Prayer has to be done the right way or else God won’t respond?  The Bible says that “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.  Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain” (James 5:16-18).  So prayer can give wonderful results.    So what is the right way?   Jesus taught people many things about what is the correct way to pray that is acceptable to God.  He also gave examples of the wrong way to pray and he said that the result will be that God will not listen to such prayers.  You are invited to come to hear what are the keys to making your prayers acceptable to God.
