SUMMARY:Should Christians keep the Sabbath?
DESCRIPTION:Some Christian groups honestly and sincerely believe that we should keep the Sabbath (Saturday) as a holy day.  Some will quote the Bible and refer to the 4th of the 10 commandments “Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy” (Exod 19:8-11).  Sounds convincing so far.  But when we look at the New Testament and look at what the apostle’s did\, we don’t find them keeping the Sabbath.  eg: Col 2:16 “Let no man judge you in respect of  … the sabbath day”.  Rather the apostle met on the first day of the week (Sunday) to remember Christ.  Acts 20:7\, 1 Cor 16:2.  You are invited to come and hear what the Bible says about whether to keep the sabbath or not.

SUMMARY:The Truth about the Devil
DESCRIPTION:Most Christian religions believe in a supernatural Devil that is the arch enemy of God and roams the earth tempting men and women.  However the Bible evidence for such a concept is not really there.  The term “Devil” does not occur in the Old Testament at all.  The supposed identification of the Devil as a fallen angel is in Revelation chapter 12\, which was written at the end of the first century AD.  In the whole of the Old Testament\, which spans a period of 4\,000 years\, there are no warnings to the people about the Devil.  There are plenty of other warnings in\, for example\, the Law of Moses about the dangers of idolatry\, but no warnings about the Devil.  So what is the Devil then?  Come and hear what the Bible teaches.

SUMMARY:Why we believe in resurrection and judgment
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to come to MtWaverley Christadelphians to hear about the Bible teachingthat Jesus Christ will return to the earth and resurrect to life many many people (but not all people).  What a miracle that is!  People that have been dead for many years raised to life again.  It’s outside our experience\, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen.  The Bible gives proof that it will happen.  Jesus Christ will then judge all these resurrected people. See John 5:28-29   He will reward his faithful followers with eternal life and will condemn those who are evil to eternal death. SUMMARY:Why we believe Jesus Christ will return
DESCRIPTION:There is no doubt that Jesus Christ was a real person who lived from about 0AD to 33AD and then was crucified.  That is attested by historical evidence.  However its another thing entirely to believe that he will return.  That a person should return from heaven to earth it ouside of our experience.  Yet the teaching of the Bible is clear that Jesus Christ will return to the earth. Come and hear this lecture to consider the evidence.  One piece of evidence is that when the apostles watched him go to heaven\, two angels told them “this same Jesus\, which is taken up from you into heaven\, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”  Acts of the Apostles 1:11.  But there is much more to hear on this subject. \nSo why should you care if he does return or he doesn’t return?  Because the return of Jesus Christ to the earth will affect you.  He is coming to judge the world.  He will reward his faithful followers with eternal life and will condemn those who are evil to eternal death.

SUMMARY:Why we believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins
